Marquesa is a gorgeous little hotel located in the heart of the historic district. The way that this establishment is set up is very unique, with four separate structures surrounding an area with 2 pools and a garden. This award-winning hotel is a perfect place for couples that want to have a relaxing vacation with beautiful surroundings. Not to mention, how many Key West hotels will serve you breakfast in their very own garden?

You can visit marquesa.com for information and photos of this wonderful hotel, or you can just pay it a visit to see for yourself. One of the things that I like about Marquesa is that it does not have the outside look of a traditional hotel. This place looks more like a bed and breakfast, although once you get inside you will see that it is much larger. Their rates are a little steep, however, with poolside rooms currently costing 290 dollars per night. If you want to stay somewhere that is quite unique then I suggest that you check out Marquesa.

Some Current Prices For Key West Hotels

If you plan on traveling to beautiful Key West in the near future then you may want to know about some of the current rates for hotel rooms. The best deal that I found at Travelocity was for the Days Inn, which is charging roughly 95 dollars per night. Other affordable deals include the Doubletree Grand Key Resort, which is currently 143 dollars per night, and The Inn at Key West for 187 dollars per night. If you are planning a vacation on the fly then you might have to suck it up and pay these rates. However, I am sure that booking far in advance will save you a lot of money in the end.

On the other hand, if you do not care about prices and you want to stay somewhere gorgeous then you can book a room at the Little Palm Island Resort. This resort can only be visited with the help of a boat or a seaplane, and every suite has an ocean view. This place is aesthetically beautiful as well, and I suggest that you check out some photographs of it even if you do not plan on staying there.

I would say that now is generally not a good time to book a room in Key West and that you would be better off planning for a future vacation.

A Favorite of the Key West Hotels Re-Opens

There is something very special about staying in one of the old, classic hotels that were founded in a great deal of history and with a strong sense of pride.

There are few Key West hotels that can call themselves a classic hotel and currently boast a brand new, forty-three million dollar renovation.

The Casa Marina Resort and Beach Club can, however. The hotel was originally opened back in 1920, and there have been a few renovations since then, but nothing that can compare to the newest one.

Everything updated in this hotel was done so with an impressive level of taste and elegance. Any cheap addition from previous remodels was removed. The pool is redone, and so are all 311 rooms, which now offer plasma televisions, refrigerators, and iPod dock stations.

The Casa Marina can now compare with the white sand beaches that adjoin the hotel.
