Starwood Hotels in San Diego - Wow

Starwood Hotels is an amazing hotel group that has 9 different franchises within their circle. One of their companies, W Hotels, has a fantastic location in San Diego that is definitely worth staying at. A room at W San Diego will cost you anywhere from 300 to 500 dollars per night, but I think that the trendy/romantic atmosphere is well worth the price. Associates at this hotel are at your service, 24 hours per day. They have a "Whatever/Whenever" service, which basically means that they will help you make arrangements for just about anything. If you want to take surfing lessons in Pacific Beach and need transportation to get there, the hotel staff will help get everything set up for you. This place seems pretty unreal, and I think that big spenders will certainly enjoy staying a few nights at The W in San Diego.

Aloft - A Branch of Starwood Hotels

The hotel industry has come a long way and in recent years I have seen more and more "outside the box" chains popping up. Aloft, which is a branch of Starwood Hotels, combines luxury and comfort with modern looks and trendy accommodations. It is obvious that they are targeting younger travelers, and when you get a glimpse of their hotel decor you will see what I am talking about.

The Aloft Ontario-Rancho Cucamonga hotel in California has a futuristic style that looks like something you would see in a movie. Each room has an oversized spa shower, plasma TV, furniture with hip designs and in-room video games. There is also an in-house trendy bar known as "wxyz" which apparently was created so that hotel guests could have a place to meet people during their stay. Unfortunately, I was not able to find room prices because the hotel is currently booked. However, based on the looks of this place I imagine that it is pretty expensive. Starwood Hotels is a company that owns and operates over 860 hotels worldwide. Starwood, which is based out of White Plains, NY, has various types of hotels including resorts, spas, vacation rentals and more. They have nine different "brands", some which you may have heard of including Sheraton, Four Points, Westin, Aloft, Meridien, St. Regis, Element, W Hotels and The Luxury Collection.

Every now and then I will come across a hotel in a major city that not only has a high rating but also has a lot of good publicity. A lot of the time, this hotel is part of the Starwood group. For example, in New York City there is the St. Regis Hotel which is not only a top-rated hotel in Manhattan but it also continues to win awards on a yearly basis. However, this beautiful hotel currently has rooms available for $775 per night, and thankfully there are a handful of other Starwood Hotels in New York City that one can choose from.

You can also book reservations through their website, but I would suggest shopping around before doing so. You might be able to save a few bucks here and there if you check some of commonly visited travel websites like Expedia or Travelocity.
